2015 Nebraska Law Ride Summary

Grand Island, NE - 09 May, 2015


Despite the weather, we had a great group of riders who braved cold temperatures, rain, and snow in the western part of the state.


This year, Jarret Daugherty of GIPD, and secretary of the law enforcement memorial committee addressed the riders and caught them up to date with all of the physical changes to the memorial site. The memorial saw many changes this year including:

  • additional name of Butler County Sheriff Mark Hecker #925,
  • blue accent lights surrounding the perimeter of the memorial
  • additional park benches
  • granite tiles honoring supporters
  • granite tiles honoring law enforcement officers who have passed away in the past year while in service, but not in the line of duty.


Though weather was a factor in our smaller group, the generosity of the riders was outstanding. A total of $1,789.20 was raised to continue the good work of the Memorial Committee and the perpetual upkeep of the memorial.

2014 Nebraska Law Ride Summary

Thank you to all who participated in the Iron Warriors MC 6th Annual Nebraska Law Ride.  Your attendance and contributions this year totaled  $3,551.61.  Total contributions for the 6 years is $22,797.82



Your participation is a great testament to the support you have for those who answered the call and gave their lives in the line of duty.  In turn, the contributions will ensure years of upkeep for the memorial and the additional names which, unfortunately, will be inevitable... including three this year:
Amanda Baker
William E. Ransom
Frederick J. Schlote

2013 Nebraska Law Ride Summary

Omaha, Lincoln, North Platte & Sidney, Nebraska


Thank you to all who came out in support of Nebraska's 134 Fallen Officers whose names are forever etched on the Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial on the grounds at Fonner Park, Grand Island, Nebraska.


This year was another successful year for raising awareness and funds for the memorial.


A total of $3,622.03 was raised on this years' run,  bringing our 5 year total to $19,246.21.
